Do I pay for meals and accomodation? 

As a participant at ISWT-2006, the Organizing Committee will provide you with food and accommodation. All participants will be accommodated in students' residential halls at the University of Dar Es salaam.

What about travel costs?

Please be informed that the organizing committee will not be in position to offer financial assistance to any participant. Your are therefore have to foot your transport costs to and from Tanzania. However, the Organizing Committee will cover other expenses during the week as long as they are incurred subject to the set program.

How can I get VISA? 

The committee after receiving application forms, we will make official invitation to all participants in order to simplify the VISA application procedure. In case a participant fails to get a visa at his/her home country or neighboring country, the committee has made an arrangement for you to get VISA at Tanzania entry point.

What will I do if I get sick? 

Participants will have to certify their travel documents with regard to health issues. During the conference, the University of Dar Es salaam Health Center will provide health services. It is, however advisable for participants to ensure that they undergo medical check-up before coming to Tanzania.

Which type of clothes do I need to come with? 

Dar es Salaam being in a tropical region and bordering the Indian Ocean is thus hot with occasional rains. Temperatures range from 25°C to 33°C, you are therefore advised to come with light clothes. Sports jerseys should be brought along especially for beach sessions, sports activities indoor and outdoor. You are advised to carry any headgear to act as a sun breaker during picnics and outdoor activities.

Will there be a trip or a tour after the conference? 

During the week, there will be trips to Tanzania National parks, historical site, beaches and other exciting sites that we shall confirm later and the organizing committee will pay for these trips. We will also organize for participants who will wish to visit Zanzibar Island and other attractive places in Tanzania.
